ROLE SUMMARY:

The British School in Madrid, a well-established and respected international school offering the English National Curriculum, is seeking a dedicated and passionate EYFS Teacher to join our Early Years team on a temporary basis. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Plan and deliver engaging, child-centred lessons following the EYFS framework.
Create a warm, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
Support children’s personal, social, and emotional development through play-based learning.
Use formative assessment to monitor progress and inform next steps.
Collaborate effectively with colleagues to ensure a consistent and supportive learning experience.
Maintain strong communication with parents and carers regarding children’s development.
Ensure safeguarding and child protection procedures are followed at all times.
Contribute to wider school life and early years events as needed.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

Recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS or equivalent).
Proven experience teaching in an EYFS setting within the British curriculum.
Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and child development.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in English (native or near-native level).
A flexible, nurturing, and collaborative approach to teaching.
