ROLE SUMMARY:

King's Infant Chamartin is seeking a passionate and nurturing EYFS specialist to join our Early Years team as a class teacher for children aged 1–3 years (Pre-Pre Nursery or Pre-Nursery). This is a full-time position starting in late August 2026.

Role Overview

The successful candidate will lead a warm, stimulating and language-rich classroom environment, delivering high-quality early years provision in line with the EYFS framework. You will play a key role in supporting children’s early development, wellbeing and curiosity through purposeful play and exploration.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Plan and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate learning experiences in line with the EYFS.
Create a safe, nurturing and inclusive classroom environment.
Monitor, assess and record children’s progress.
Build strong relationships with families and maintain clear communication.
Work collaboratively with colleagues to support the wider Early Years provision.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential.
Proven experience teaching children aged 1–3 years within an EYFS setting.
Strong understanding of child development and early language acquisition.
A caring, patient and enthusiastic approach.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
