ROLE SUMMARY:

 

King's Infant Chamartin is seeking a passionate and nurturing EYFS specialist to join our Early Years team as a class teacher for children aged 1–3 years (Pre-Pre Nursery or Pre-Nursery). This is a full-time position starting in late August 2026.

 

Role Overview

 

The successful candidate will lead a warm, stimulating and language-rich classroom environment, delivering high-quality early years provision in line with the EYFS framework. You will play a key role in supporting children’s early development, wellbeing and curiosity through purposeful play and exploration.

 

 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Plan and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate learning experiences in line with the EYFS.

  • Create a safe, nurturing and inclusive classroom environment.

  • Monitor, assess and record children’s progress.

  • Build strong relationships with families and maintain clear communication.

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to support the wider Early Years provision.

 

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

 

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential.

  • Proven experience teaching children aged 1–3 years within an EYFS setting.

  • Strong understanding of child development and early language acquisition.

  • A caring, patient and enthusiastic approach.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
