ROLE SUMMARY:

 

At the forefront of British education internationally, King’s College School La Moraleja is seeking to appoint a dynamic, collaborative and forward-thinking professional to the position of ‘Data Manager and Examinations Officer’ on a permanent basis.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Administer all external and internal examinations, including liaison with the Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ) and examination boards, ensuring all entries are processed in accordance with the examination board regulations and deadlines.
  • Keep up to date with the role's requirements, including the latest procedures and regulations for external examinations in all formats.
  • Find, register for and attend relevant training for Examinations Officers.
  • Ensure the school is compliant according to JCQ examinations requirements and lead on any inspection of international examination practices within the school
  • Attend relevant training courses.
  • Liaise with the Head, Deputy Head, Heads of Section and the Heads of Department to ensure that exam entries are processed accurately, and deadlines are met
  • Prepare and update all examination entries, including financial estimates of fees
  • Provide relevant data in respect of entries, fees and late fees
  • Responsibility for the continuous availability, effective management and development of the MIS system (currently ISAMS, alongside its interaction with Canvass/GSP)
  • Ideally, be responsible for the production of the annual timetable for students, or receive initial training to enable the post-holder to assist in the timetabling process going forward.
  • Planning and managing the day-to-day operation of the MIS (including, but not limited to the core and exams modules, SEN module, activities module, fees module and staff, parent and pupil portals)

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

 

  • Bachelor Degree (essential)
  • At least 2 years’ examinations office experience in British National Curriculum schools either in the
  • UK or internationally
  • Evidence of consistently outstanding practice
  • The ability to work as part of an education group, developing effective professional relationships with peers in other schools.
  • Understanding of high quality teaching and the ability to model this for others and to support others to improve
  • Ability to build effective working relationships
