ROLE SUMMARY:
The International School of Ticino is seeking an enthusiastic and talented Part-Time Music Teacher to join the school from August 2026.
The successful candidate will deliver engaging and inspiring Music lessons across the Secondary School, encouraging students to develop their musical knowledge, performance skills and creativity. This role would suit a passionate educator who can foster a love of music while contributing to the wider cultural life of the school.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Teach Music across the Secondary School, including IB programmes where appropriate
- Plan and deliver engaging, practical and student-centred lessons
- Develop students' musical understanding, performance skills and creativity
- Prepare students for performances, concerts and other musical events
- Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all students
- Monitor student progress and provide clear, constructive feedback
- Contribute to curriculum development within the Music department
- Support extracurricular music activities, ensembles and performances where appropriate
- Collaborate with colleagues to promote the performing arts across the school
- Engage positively with parents and the wider school community
- Uphold safeguarding and child protection procedures at all times
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
Essential
- A degree in Music or a related field
- A recognised teaching qualification
- Experience teaching Music at secondary level
- Strong practical musicianship and subject knowledge
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- A passion for music education and student development
- A collaborative and student-centred approach
- EU passport (essential requirement)
Desirable
- Experience teaching within the IB MYP and/or DP
- Experience in an international school environment
- Ability to lead choirs, ensembles or instrumental groups
- Experience organising performances, productions or musical events
- Familiarity with music technology and digital composition tools
