ROLE SUMMARY:

An Inspired Education Group school in Central/Western Europe is seeking a committed and enthusiastic German Teacher to join its Secondary School team from August 2027.

The successful candidate will deliver high-quality German language teaching across the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) and, where appropriate, the IB Diploma Programme (DP). This role is suited to a reflective, student-centred practitioner who is passionate about language learning within an international, inquiry-led IB World School environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Teach German across MYP and DP, delivering engaging, well-structured and inquiry-based lessons
Plan and deliver lessons aligned with IB frameworks, assessment criteria and learning objectives
Prepare students effectively for internal and external IB assessments
Differentiate instruction to support a range of language abilities, including multilingual learners
Use assessment data to monitor progress, provide feedback and inform planning
Collaborate with colleagues to support interdisciplinary learning and curriculum development
Contribute positively to the wider life of the school, including meetings, events and enrichment activities
Promote and model the IB Learner Profile and Inspired Education values

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

Essential:
- EU passport
- Degree in German or a related subject, and a recognised teaching qualification
- Experience teaching German at secondary level
- Strong subject knowledge and confidence delivering language acquisition programmes
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- A collaborative mindset and commitment to student-centred learning
Preferred:
- Experience teaching within the IB MYP and/or DP
- Experience in an international or multilingual school environment
- Ability to teach German at multiple proficiency levels
- Familiarity with inquiry-based and concept-driven learning
