ROLE SUMMARY:

 

Chepstow House School are currently looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated Teaching Assistant to join our team from January 2026. Please note that this is a 1-year Fixed Term contract.

This role would suit a recent graduate looking to do a PGCE course in the future.

The successful candidate will work within a Year group team to maintain an innovative, dynamic, and high-achieving setting. 

They will also need to interact and support children in a positive way to foster their enthusiasm for learning. A willingness to contribute fully to the extracurricular activities and the life of the school is vital. 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Interact and support children (under the direction of the teacher ) in a positive way to foster enthusiasm for learning

To work with the Class Teacher in preparing work, putting up displays, and assisting as required  within the classroom

Supervising breaks and lunchtime play

To take responsibility for hearing the children read on a daily basis, updating their reading records, and monitoring their progress

To conduct lessons (if required) according to the agreed policy and syllabus

To contribute fully to the extra curricular activities and life of the school

Maintain excellent levels of appearance, attendance and punctuality

Involve themselves fully in the life of the school
