ROLE SUMMARY:

Ivy House School thrives as a distinguished, co-educational, and non-denominational school for boys and girls aged 2-11, nestled within the green spaces of Golders Hill Park in Hampstead. We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and proactive Teaching Assistant to join our team, supporting teaching and learning. The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers to create a safe, engaging, and positive learning environment that promotes curiosity, independence, and wellbeing.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

To work with the class teacher to foster a warm, caring, and friendly environment for the children within the classroom
To work with the class teacher in preparing work for the boys putting up displays and assisting as required within the classroom
Stay informed about all school policies and be aware of issues concerning individual students, ensuring effective communication among colleagues for their overall well-being.
To share in the responsibility for covering colleagues in their absence
Accompany and supervise children during off-site activities
Undertake lunchtime supervision, including the road crossing of pupils
Prepare and clear up resources and maintain resource areas
