ROLE SUMMARY:

We are looking for a Senior HR Operations Manager to lead and develop the HR administration team, ensuring the smooth and efficient delivery of HR services across the organisation. Reporting into the Head of UK HR, this role will suit someone who thrives in a fast-paced, operationally focused environment, has a strong understanding of HR systems and processes, and enjoys driving continuous improvement.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Leadership and Management

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the HR admin team to ensure high performance and engagement.
  • Foster a collaborative and positive team environment.

HR Operations Management

  • Oversee HR administrative processes, with a focus on recruitment, onboarding, and regulatory background checks.
  • Act as first point of contact with heads of schools to manage and triage HR related issues.
  • Work with Head of ER, Business Partners, Head of Payroll and UK Talent Manager to ensure Schools HR requirements are handled in the appropriate time frame. 
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements in HR practices.
  • Be the primary contact with our external partner for International Work Visas

Systems and Processes

  • Working with the Global HR team, evaluate, implement, and improve HR systems and technologies to streamline operations and enhance data management.
  • Develop and document HR processes and procedures to ensure consistency and efficiency.

Data Analysis, Reporting and Budgeting

  • Utilise HR metrics and analytics to assess operational efficiency and inform decision-making.
  • Prepare regular reports for senior management on HR operations performance and key metrics.
  • Act as primary lead with the UK Finance team and UK Payroll Manager and HR Business partners to ensure Headcount budget is accurate.

Change Management

  • Lead initiatives to drive HR transformation and continuous improvement in processes and systems.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in HR operations
  • Previous experience managing a team, ideally a team of HR Administrators/Assistants
  • Strong knowledge of HR systems (e.g., HRIS, ATS) and related technologies.
  • Excellent understanding of HR processes, policies, and best practices.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret HR metrics and data.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with various departments and levels of staff.
  • Change management and project management skills.
