Salary: £48,000.00 - £50,000.00 Per annum dependent on experience

The Online DP programme is a world first and is in the third year of the IB authorised pilot phase. As such, the role of the DP Coordinator is critical in ensuring successful completion of the pilot and the role will suit candidates with strong knowledge of the IB but also those who display creativity, problem- solving and innovation. Finally, excellent leadership and management of others is crucial. In short, the successful candidate will embody the ethos of an IB education and be able to lead others to ensure this ethos and the highest expectations of students and the curriculum are maintained.
The successful candidate will also have a deep understanding of online teaching and the operational support required for teachers for this to be consistently high quality and will be able to demonstrate expertise of how to organise learning systems and lead effective teams, particularly understanding how existing systems and processes can be enhanced to benefit staff and students.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities will evolve with the programme including but not limited to:
Leadership
- Promoting the online DP and lead in an ambassadorial role for King’s InterHigh
- Ensure effective implementation of all aspects of the programme.
Curriculum
- Ensuring complete coverage of all strands of the diploma, including the IB Learner Profile, approaches to teaching and approaches to learning.
- Balance the need for Higher and Standard level co-delivery.
External / Internal Communication
- Being responsible for all communications with the IB offices, including liaising with IBO curriculum managers and leadership.
- Recording all communication, forms, documents, and reports from the IB.
Student focused
- Developing the schedule for the delivery of assemblies to the IB cohort.
- Coordinating the induction of new students to the IBDP.
- Being available to students outside of normal lesson time, ensuring that their academic and personal wellbeing is fully supported.
Teacher support
- Ensure that all teachers are suitably qualified and trained in accordance with IB requirements.
- Continually review and reflect upon programme implementation, including managing change and teacher performance.
- Organise, coordinate, and monitor horizontal and vertical collaborative planning sessions.

Person specification
- QTS required.
- Degree-level qualification minimum.
- IB certificate in leadership practice or leadership research.
- Experience of leadership in an IB school or setting.
- Experience of leading pastoral and curriculum teams to success.
- Track record of delivering excellent IB outcomes.
