ROLE SUMMARY:

The Northern Europe region has a central finance function which covers multiple countries. As the team expands, we are looking to recruit an ambitious Head of AR who are looking to work in an ambitious company whilst progressing their career. The role will require some travel, both locally in the UK and internationally.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee end-to-end customer billing and contract setup within JD Edwards
  • Lead proactive debt collection to maintain strong cash flow
  • Ensure accurate and compliant revenue recognition
  • Evaluate discount requests and deliver clear, data-driven recommendations to the Finance Director
  • Act as the primary contact for parents and customers on all fee-related enquiries
  • Prepare bad debt calculations in accordance with IFRS 9 for management reporting
  • Manage and develop a team of eight 
  • Build strong working relationships with Heads of School and Admissions teams
  • Provide high-quality support to the Finance Director on a range of ad-hoc projects

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

  • Strong previous experience in a similar role 
  • Effective Excel skills
  • JD Edwards experience would be desirable 
  • A self-starter with the drive, determination and commitment to get things done
  • ‘Can do’ attitude with a problem-solving approach to new challenges
  • Ability to handle large data sets, work under pressure and to deadlines with the capacity to multi-task over several on-going projects
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, fast-growing environment
  • Well organised, process driven and high attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • High aptitude on systems
  • Understanding of ability to work in a PE environment in a results driven organisation
