ROLE SUMMARY:

 

We are seeking a proactive and technically strong Group Financial Accountant to join our Group Finance team. Following an internal promotion, this role plays a key part in group consolidation, financial reporting, and the development of group-wide accounting practices. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a highly collaborative and international environment, with exposure to senior leadership and global finance teams.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Consolidate and review monthly group submissions (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, KPIs).

  • Prepare monthly consolidation journals and year-end statutory group accounts in accordance with IFRS.

  • Coordinate and prepare investor, lender, and rating agency reports.

  • Liaise with global subsidiary finance teams to resolve reporting queries and ensure accurate, timely submissions.

  • Lead on technical accounting projects and maintain group-wide policies and procedures.

  • Act as the primary contact for external auditors and support the year-end audit process.

  • Assist in the rollout of enhanced financial reporting and system developments across the group.

  • Deliver training and technical support on accounting standards and system processes.

  • Contribute to internal audit and control assessments, including on-site and remote reviews.

  • Ensure compliance with Inspired financial policies and drive best practice across regions.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

 

  • ACA qualified (preferably Big 4 trained) or equivalent international qualification.

  • Proven experience in a group finance function within a global, complex organisation.

  • Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and statutory reporting.

  • Excellent Excel skills and familiarity with financial systems (e.g., JDE, Cognos, TM1).

  • Outstanding organisational skills with a keen eye for detail.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work to tight deadlines.

  • A self-starter with a proactive attitude and problem-solving mindset.

  • Experience working with international teams and understanding cultural nuances.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Willingness to work full-time from our London office.
