ROLE SUMMARY:

The Northern Europe region has a central finance function which looks after 19 schools. As the team expands, we’re looking to recruit a dynamic, ambitious & hardworking Billing Specialist to join a busy & supportive team.

After training the successful candidate will be responsible for the accurate and timely billing of school fees and non-fee billing to parents across a number of schools along with billing accounting, including reconciliations and month-end processes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Setting-up and processing termly or monthly billing files across several schools
Handling non fee billing for various after school clubs, breakfast & afterschool care and school trips and other miscellaneous billing
Billing & deposit reconciliations and assisting with month-end
Managing various types of billing adjustments & discounts
Raising of credit notes and other contract adjustments
Speaking with admission teams across different schools on a variety of billing questions
Working on 3rd party parent portals to ensure accurate billing
Assist in the resolution of billing queries across different schools
Assist parents by phone and email on a variety of fee billing and non-fee billing queries

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

A graduate in accounting or a finance related degree with at least 18 months of finance experience, preferably with some exposure to billing
Highly dynamic & resilient with a willingness to learn
Strong understanding of accounting principles, basic double entry and revenue recognition
Strong excel skills
The right attitude/energy to succeed in a developing fast paced business
Strong attention to detail
Willing to apply themselves and develop their career
Asks questions and willing to learn
Open to a changing growth environment
Excellent communicator and ability to build strong relations with schools and within finance
Experience in a professional business to consumer environment would be advantageous
