ROLE SUMMARY:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist to join the Human Resources team at Inspired. In this role, you will be the core owner of the end-to-end payroll cycle and personnel administration, ensuring everything is executed accurately, efficiently, and in strict compliance with Portuguese labor and tax legislation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Payroll Processing: Manage and execute the full cycle of monthly payroll processing (gathering variables, data validation, closing, and distributing payslips).
- System Administration: Act as the key user for PHC (HR module) to manage employee records, time attendance, and payroll calculations.
- Compliance & Tax Reporting: Ensure timely preparation and submission of all mandatory legal declarations (Segurança Social, DMR-AT, Relatório Único).
- Employee Lifecycle Management: Handle onboarding and offboarding administrative procedures, including Social Security registrations, severance calculations, and termination contract documents.
- Query Resolution: Serve as the primary point of contact for employees and managers regarding payslip explanations, vacation balances, absences, taxes, and labor law.
- Reporting & Analytics: Generate monthly staff cost reports, HR metrics, and support internal or external payroll audits.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
- Mandatory Experience: Proven track record in payroll processing specifically using PHC and UMAN software systems.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of Portuguese labor law, tax codes (IRS), and social security regulations.
- Software Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, data analysis formulas).
- Soft Skills: Strong organizational skills, high analytical accuracy, strict confidentiality handling, and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Languages: Fluency in English and Portuguese (both written and spoken).
