ROLE SUMMARY:

 

The Monitor at PaRK International School (Alfragide Campus) is responsible for ensuring the well-being, safety, and engagement of students outside the formal classroom environment. The primary mission is to supervise and lead recreational, social, and educational activities during school breaks, lunch hours, after-school care, and holiday camps (Summer/Winter Camps). Operating within a dynamic and bilingual setting, this professional serves as a key facilitator of positive socialization, ensuring that students remain integrated, active, and safe at all times.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Supervise students during recess, lunchtime, morning drop-off, and after-school care periods.
  • Lead and animate games, themed workshops, and recreational activities tailored to different age groups.
  • Ensure strict compliance with health, safety, and hygiene rules in all common and outdoor areas.
  • Mediate minor student conflicts effectively, promoting inclusion, empathy, and mutual respect.
  • Assist the academic and operations team with the logistics of school events, field trips, and celebrations.
  • Report any incidents, behavioral changes, or medical needs immediately to the campus coordination team.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

 

  • Good communication skills in English (essential for interacting within our international and bilingual community).
  • Previous experience supervising children in summer camps, after-school programs, scouting, or school settings.
  • Dynamic, proactive, and patient personality with a natural passion for working with children and young people.
  • High sense of responsibility, punctuality, and the ability to maintain a calm demeanor under pressure.
  • Strong teamwork mindset and quick adaptability to the routines and procedures of an international school.
