ROLE SUMMARY:

As we continue our exciting growth journey, we’re looking for a proactive and highly organised HR Generalist to join our dynamic team at our Head Office in Alfragide, Portugal, right next to one of our flagship schools, PaRK International School.
In this pivotal role, you’ll be part of a fast-paced, international environment, supporting key HR operations across Portugal and collaborating closely with teams from across our global network. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop a broad skill set across all areas of Human Resources.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Onboarding:
- Facilitate the onboarding process, ensuring new hires have a smooth and efficient start.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, both digital and physical.
Employee Records & Compliance:
- Manage and update personnel records, including mandatory training evidence and service declarations.
- Oversee the preparation, management, and renewal of employment contracts, ensuring all deadlines are met and documents are in compliance with legal requirements.
- Assist with the preparation and submission of necessary documentation for internally promoted staff and other HR-related processes.
HR Operations & Administration:
- Act as the first point of contact for HR-related inquiries from employees.
- Support payroll processes by compiling and verifying data such as staff changes, absences, and new hires.
- Handle administrative tasks related to health insurance, employee benefits, and other routine HR duties.
- Ensure the timely and accurate completion of leaver paperwork and facilitate offboarding processes.
- Manage the reporting and documentation of work accidents, ensuring timely communication with relevant authorities and adherence to legal protocols.
- Handle administrative tasks related to occupational medicine, including coordinating health appointments, maintaining up-to-date health records and coordinating follow-up actions as needed.
Training & Development:
- Support the implementation and monitoring of the company’s training plan.
- Identify opportunities for improvement in HR processes and contribute to various HR projects as needed.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
- Degree in Human Resources Management, Organizational Psychology or related fields.
- Strong administrative experience with excellent organizational skills.
- Previous HR experience or a keen interest in developing a career in HR.
- Proficiency in using HR information systems and MS Office.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- A proactive, solution-focused attitude with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Ability to listen effectively and be sensitive to others.
- Ability to cope well under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Fluency in English and Portuguese, ideally with an understanding of the Portuguese employment law.
