Homeroom Teacher English

ROLE SUMMARY:

We are seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic, and qualified Homeroom Teacher to join our English Stream department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fostering a nurturing, stimulating, and safe learning environment. As a Homeroom Teacher, you will be the primary point of contact for your assigned class, leading core academic subjects in English, managing daily classroom routines, and supporting the holistic development (academic, social, and emotional) of each student.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Curriculum Delivery: Planning and teaching core subjects—including English Language and Literature, Mathematics, and Science—typically aligned with international standards like the British Curriculum.
• Inquiry-Based Programs: Delivering foundational units through framework methodologies like the International Primary Curriculum (IPC) or International Early Years Curriculum (IEYC).
• Pastoral Care: Nurturing student well-being, teaching positive behavior and social skills, and cultivating a safe classroom community.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

• Qualifications: A Bachelor of Education, or a Bachelor's degree paired with a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) or equivalent primary teaching license.
• Language Skills: Full, native-level proficiency in English.
• Curriculum Experience: Prior experience with UK-style frameworks, White Rose Maths, phonics programs, or Talk for Writing is highly advantageous.
