ROLE SUMMARY:

To join our team, we are looking for a highly organized and proactive HR Generalist. The HR Generalist will play a crucial role in supporting various HR functions, ensuring smooth HR operations, and contributing to a positive work environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop a broad skill set across all areas of Human Resources.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Onboarding:

  • Facilitate the onboarding process, ensuring new hires have a smooth and efficient start.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, both digital and physical.

 

Employee Records & Compliance:

  • Manage and update personnel records, including mandatory training evidence and service declarations.
  • Oversee the preparation, management, and renewal of employment contracts, ensuring all deadlines are met and documents are in compliance with legal requirements.
  • Assist with the preparation and submission of necessary documentation for internally promoted staff and other HR-related processes.

 

HR Operations & Administration:

  • Act as the first point of contact for HR-related inquiries from employees.
  • Support payroll processes by compiling and verifying data such as staff changes, absences, and new hires.
  • Handle administrative tasks related to health insurance, employee benefits, and other routine HR duties.
  • Ensure the timely and accurate completion of leaver paperwork and facilitate offboarding processes.
  • Manage the reporting and documentation of work accidents, ensuring timely communication with relevant authorities and adherence to legal protocols.
  • Handle administrative tasks related to occupational medicine, including coordinating health appointments, maintaining up-to-date health records and coordinating follow-up actions as needed.

 

Training & Development:

  • Support the implementation and monitoring of the company’s training plan.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement in HR processes and contribute to various HR projects as needed.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

  • Degree in Human Resources Management, Organizational Psychology or related fields.
  • Strong administrative experience with excellent organizational skills.
  • Previous HR experience or a keen interest in developing a career in HR.
  • Proficiency in using HR information systems and MS Office.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A proactive, solution-focused attitude with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Ability to listen effectively and be sensitive to others.
  • Ability to cope well under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Fluency in English and Portuguese, ideally with an understanding of the Portuguese employment law.
