ROLE SUMMARY:

PaRK International School – Alfragide, a proud member of the Inspired Education Group, is seeking an experienced and passionate Lead Computer Science Teacher to design and deliver a future-focused curriculum across Upper Primary and Secondary (up to Grade 12). KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Design and lead the Computer Science curriculum from Upper Primary to Grade 12.
Inspire students in computational thinking, coding, and digital innovation.
Deliver engaging, inclusive lessons that challenge and motivate learners of all levels.
Guide colleagues in effective planning, assessment, and use of digital tools.
Promote digital literacy and citizenship across the school community.
Embed emerging technologies into everyday teaching to foster 21st-century skills.
Monitor student progress through data-driven insights and targeted interventions.
Develop and support co-curricular tech initiatives like coding clubs and robotics.
Collaborate with curriculum leaders and extended curriculum teams on strategic goals.
Contribute to the school’s overall digital learning strategy and innovation plan.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

A degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or a related field, with a teaching qualification.
Significant experience in delivering Computer Science in an international school setting.
A passion for technology and innovation in education.
Strong classroom practice and a record of supporting diverse learners.
Fluency in English (spoken and written); willingness to learn Portuguese is an advantage.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Confidence using edtech platforms, coding languages, and educational software.
A proactive, growth-minded approach to teaching and learning.
A genuine commitment to student well-being and holistic development.
