The Northfields campus in Labourdonnais is situated on owned freehold property and incorporates numerous subject classrooms, dedicated science labs, computer suites, art studios, a design and Special Education Needs (SEN) and English as an Additional Language (EAL) support room.  Northfields offers internationally recognised educational programmes and qualifications for Cambridge and the International Baccalaureate. The curriculum progression in the school begins with Regio Emelia Pre-Nursery, followed by the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) at NIPS. Students from the Primary School may progress to Secondary School at NIHS, where they follow the 5-year Cambridge curriculum in Years 7-11, culminating with the Cambridge IGCSE examination at the end of Year 11.  Students in Sixth Form then follow the 2-year IB Diploma Programme (DP) or Cambridge A level.

Apart from being an authorised IB World School, the quality of Northfields is further bolstered through the school’s accreditation with the Council of International Schools (CIS) and membership with the Independent Schools Association of Southern Africa (ISASA) and the Association of International Schools in Africa (AISA). We are looking for a School Nurse to join our team. The School Nurse plays a critical role in providing a robust health program for the assessment, evaluation and improvement of health of students. This key role involves providing first aid, managing illnesses, conducting educational and awareness sessions and ensuring compliance of all student medical records. The successful candidate will be instrumental in ensuring the health, safety and well-being of our students.

Medical Care and Emergency Response   

• Administer first aid and medical care to students and staff as needed.
• Assess and manage injuries and illnesses on campus, record treatment on  the school MIS 
• Assist in completing risk assessments for students on trips when required.
• Complete relevant Health and Safety accident reports as required by OSHA 2005.

Health Records and Data Management

• Maintain accurate health records and confidential medical files for all students.
• Ensure students' data is accurate and up to date on the syste

Health Programs and Immunization

• Organise routine immunization programs in conjunction with Health Authorities.
• Develop and implement health education programs for students and staff.
• Promote healthy lifestyle choices, hygiene practices and preventive measu

Medical Centre Management

• Manage daily operation, stocking and maintenance of the Medical Centre.
• Plan and manage the annual budget for the Medical Centre.
