ROLE SUMMARY:

• To adopt a leadership role within the School ensuring a holistic view to learners in their care, promoting the general progress and well-being of individual learners and teachers specifically focusing on ensuring a high level of administrative support.
• To create a positive learning environment and motivate Teachers and learners to ensure their effective and efficient teaching and education at the highest level.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

School Administration and Operations
Lead the Junior/Preparatory School’s vision and day-to-day administration, including calendars, events, admissions, awards, functions, branding, marketing and school publications.

Academic Leadership
Set and monitor academic targets, oversee assessment and examination processes, timetables, reporting, promotion schedules and academic interventions, while supporting parents and students with subject and academic matters.

Staff and Programme Management
Oversee tutor and co-curricular programmes, support teachers, participate in recruitment and assist with the onboarding and mentorship of new staff.

Pastoral Care and Discipline
Provide strong pastoral leadership, oversee student leadership, manage student and parent concerns, handle disciplinary matters and hearings, and work closely with counselling and educational psychology teams.

Stakeholder Engagement
Maintain positive relationships and effective communication with students, parents, staff and other stakeholders, addressing concerns professionally and in line with school policies.

Leadership and Governance
Serve on the School’s Senior Management Team and relevant committees, contributing to strategic decision-making and school-wide initiatives.

Projects and Continuous Improvement
Lead and monitor assigned projects, provide progress reports, meet deadlines and participate in professional development and continuous learning.

School Culture and Brand
Ensure academic, cultural, sporting and co-curricular activities align with the school’s vision, values and Reddam House brand

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

Qualifications:

• Relevant teaching qualification or experience in similar field
• SACE

Knowledge and Experience:

• Several years in a management or similar role.
• Successful track record of good planning and organising skills.
• Good track record of working in school communities.
