ROLE SUMMARY:
The Aftercare Assistant works with the Aftercare Supervisor to ensure that children in Grades 1 – 4 enjoy a happy, facilitated afternoon at school. Homework is to be completed and the children are entitled to playtime either inside the classroom or on the playground. The Supervisor may ask for guidance and support from the relevant Deputies and Grade Heads at all times and they report directly to the Head of School.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervise designated children throughout the Aftercare session each afternoon.
- Maintain the Attendance Register.
- Ensure children attend their registered extra murals and return afterward.
- Facilitate homework completion in a structured and peaceful environment.
- Provide emotional support when needed.
- Participate in meetings relevant to Aftercare operations.
- Assist in planning after-school activities.
- Oversee stock control and quality management.
- Communicate effectively with parents.
- Contribute to planning healthy eating initiatives.
- Plan, prepare and present engaging activities.
- Develop high-quality resources for children.
- Show loyalty to all aspects of Reddam House.
- Perform any other reasonable tasks as determined by the School Head or line manager.
