OUR SCHOOL:
Reddford House Northcliff is situated on the affluent Northcliff Ridge and is surrounded by the upmarket, leafy northern suburbs. The school is ideally located making it easily accessible from all major routes.The school has an imposing design along with a relaxed and tranquil atmosphere.
The Early Learning School (ELS) and the Junior Preparatory follow the Reggio Emilia inspired philosophy sharing an impressive piazza to exhibit the children’s work.Professionally designed interiors in candy colours enhance the Reddford House vibrant and joyful educational approach and experience. All classrooms open out onto playgrounds and play areas. The ELS classrooms boast en-suite toilet facilities for each stage.

ROLE SUMMARY:
- To adopt an aspirant view to students in their care, promoting the general progress and well-being of individuals and of any class or group assigned to them.
- To create a positive learning environment and motivate students to achieve their full potential.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plan, prepare and present interesting and exciting Math’s lessons
- Establish a teaching environment that is nurturing and promotes learning.
- Behave in a professional manner with regard to punctuality, behavior, standards of work and homework of students.
- Evaluate, reflect on and refine your teaching practice.
- Teach extra lessons when required on two afternoons per week.
- Produce resources for students of a high standard.
- Respond to e-mails and telephone messages from parents within 24 hours.
- Attend all special occasions at the discretion of the relevant Head.
- Exam setting and the marking of exams and all other forms of student evaluation
- The writing of report comments
- Prepare practical learning opportunities for students.
- The post holder is required to undertake any other reasonable tasks that the School Head/line manager determine.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
Skills and Previous Experience:
- Ability to connect effectively with children
- A thorough understanding of the subject material that you will be teaching
- Good planning, organising and reporting skills
- Good communication skills (oral, written and presentation)
- Good interpersonal skills and strong team orientation
- A minimum of 5 years’ teaching experience of at an IEB school
- Matric Math’s teaching and IEB marking experience would be advantageous
Qualifications and Accreditations:
- University degree in appropriate subject
- Certified Teaching Status
- Appropriate right to work
- SACE registered
