OUR SCHOOL

Reddam House Bedfordview is a premium, co-educational, private school situated near the prestigious Kensington Golf Course.

Providing a balanced, holistic, innovative learning experience, encouraging students to realize their unique gifts, talents and abilities in pursuit of academic excellence, Reddam House Bedfordview school has two extensive campuses with phenomenal facilities for academics, sport and the creative arts. Our BCC Campus for ELS and Junior Preparatory students includes vibrant classrooms, spacious playgrounds, sports fields, cricket nets and tennis courts.

We require an enthusiastic and capable College English Teacher who will promote student success, provide preventive services, and respond to identified student needs by implementing a comprehensive school counselling programme that addresses academic and personal/social development for all students. This is a full-time role which is due to commence term 1 2024.

To inspire a love for learning and for the world we live in. To adopt a holistic view to children in their care, promoting the general progress and well-being of individuals and of any class or group assigned to them. To create a positive learning environment and motivate children to achieve their full potential.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Attendance at all formal school events as indicated by the Head of the College.
  • Organisation of field trips.
  • Organising guest speakers and presenters as relates to the field of English.
  • Have a relevant degree and teaching qualification.
  • Be registered with SACE.
  • Have a strong connection with teenagers.
  • Have proven excellence in teaching English
  • Be energetic and proactive
  • Exhibit strong communication skills
  • Enjoy supporting and contributing to the success of teams
  • Live with high standards and seek consistent improvement over time.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Have excellent administration skills and a ready attention to detail.
  • (Preferably) have experience of teaching the IEB curriculum
  • Be ready to contribute to the extra-mural (afternoon) programme.
  • Be willing to organise / attend camps as per school requirements
  • Be available for Regional and National conferences or other training as required
  • Have experience or, or a willingness to join IEB marking and moderation panels.
