Position Overview
ACG School Jakarta is seeking a committed and professional Support Teaching Assistant (STA) to provide academic, behavioural, and pastoral support to students in Year 9. Working as part of the Support Team around children, the STA will collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and the Inclusion Coordinator to assist students in achieving learning goals and demonstrating independence.
This position is funded by the family, with ACG responsible for advertising, shortlisting, and appointment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide individualised support to students in accordance with teacher guidance and school standards.
- Support Year 9 students across core subjects (English, Mathematics, Science, Global Perspectives, Design Technology).
- Prepare, adapt, or organise resources to enable student access to learning activities.
- Encourage positive communication, social interaction, and emotional regulation.
- Promote student independence, resilience, and confidence in learning tasks.
- Monitor student interactions to help ensure safety and wellbeing within the school environment.
- Assist students in meeting deadlines, completing assignments, and maintaining effective study habits.
- Use technology, including AI-based platforms where appropriate, to enhance learning and student organisation.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external professionals to support educational and behavioural planning.
- Meet regularly with the Inclusion Coordinator and contribute to the review of support plans.
- Participate in meetings to provide insights into student progress and needs.
- Support student participation and engagement across all subject areas and school routines.
- Promote constructive and thoughtful behaviour in all school contexts.
- Work during school operational hours, generally 7.30am–4.00pm.

- Ability to support routines, organisation, and student accountability.
- Professionalism, reliability, and a strong sense of responsibility.
