Secondary Math Teacher

ROLE SUMMARY:

ACG School Jakarta is a private, independent, co-educational Kindergarten to Year 13 day school located in South Jakarta, Indonesia. As a member of the Inspired Education Group—operating 125 premium schools worldwide—a member of the Council of International Schools (CIS), the school offers a holistic and academically rigorous pathway through the Cambridge curriculum (Lower Secondary and IGCSE) and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP).

We seek an energetic, reflective, and student-focused English educator who can deliver high-quality learning in math. The ideal candidate will embrace holistic education, encourage inquiry and communication, and help students develop strong linguistic proficiency alongside the values of global citizenship.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Math Teacher is responsible for planning and delivering engaging and effective lessons that support students in developing strong in Math. The teacher will foster an environment that cultivates confidence, critical thinking, and a passion for language.

Beyond classroom teaching, all ACG School Jakarta teachers are expected to support students through holistic learning opportunities and active engagement in school life, including:

• Serving as an Advisory (homeroom) teacher and supporting the pastoral and academic needs of students
• Leading or assisting with Extra-Curricular Activities (ECAs)
• Participating in field trips, excursions, and the Residential Learning Programme
• Engaging in department meetings, professional learning sessions, and collaborative planning
• Supporting Open Days, community events, marketing activities, and parent information sessions
• Ensuring alignment with Cambridge and IB standards, including assessment and moderation requirements
• Promoting the school’s mission, vision, and values through daily practice and professional conduct

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

•    A relevant university degree and a recognised teaching qualification (required)
•    Experience teaching Math
•    A strong understanding of Math pedagogy
•    Experience differentiating for students of varied proficiency levels
•    Excellent communication skills and a commitment to helping students 
•    Strong organisational skills and experience using data for learning progress and planning
•    An ability to work collaboratively in a diverse, multicultural environment
•    Full teacher registration (or eligibility for registration)
•    A commitment to holistic education, student wellbeing, and international-mindedness
