ROLE SUMMARY:
Founded in 1989, Blue Valley is a private, bilingual, Pre-K through 12th-grade school with over 800 students that offers a challenging combination of Costa Rican and International curricula promoting technology, the arts, and physical wellbeing.
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced IBDP Business and Economics Teacher to join our team in January 2025. The successful candidate will have a strong background in teaching Business and Economics at the IBDP level and will be responsible for delivering engaging and challenging lessons to students.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver IBDP Economics lessons to students.
- Develop and deliver assessments to evaluate student learning and progress.
- Provide individualized support and feedback to students to enhance their understanding of Business & Economics concepts.
- Collaborate with other members of the teaching team to create engaging and interdisciplinary lessons that integrate with other subjects.
- Keep abreast of changes to the IBDP curriculum and update teaching materials as necessary.
- Participate in faculty meetings and professional development activities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of school-wide policies and procedures.
- Attend parent-teacher conferences to discuss student progress and provide feedback to parents.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
- University degree in the appropriate subject
- IBDP Training
- A minimum of 2 years of experience
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
