ROLE SUMMARY:

Founded in 1989, Blue Valley is a private, bilingual, Pre-K through 12th-grade school with over 800 students that offers a challenging combination of Costa Rican and International curricula promoting technology, the arts, and physical wellbeing.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced IBDP Business and Economics Teacher to join our team in January 2025. The successful candidate will have a strong background in teaching Business and Economics at the IBDP level and will be responsible for delivering engaging and challenging lessons to students.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Plan, prepare, and deliver IBDP Economics lessons to students.
Develop and deliver assessments to evaluate student learning and progress.
Provide individualized support and feedback to students to enhance their understanding of Business & Economics concepts.
Collaborate with other members of the teaching team to create engaging and interdisciplinary lessons that integrate with other subjects.
Keep abreast of changes to the IBDP curriculum and update teaching materials as necessary.
Participate in faculty meetings and professional development activities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
Contribute to the development and implementation of school-wide policies and procedures.
Attend parent-teacher conferences to discuss student progress and provide feedback to parents.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

University degree in the appropriate subject
IBDP Training
A minimum of 2 years of experience
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
