ROLE SUMMARY:

The HR Business Partner (HRBP) is responsible for delivering strategic and operational HR support across all Reddam House Schools and Early Learning Schools. Partnering closely with Principals and Deputy Principals, the role provides expert guidance and tailored solutions that drive organisational effectiveness, foster a positive and compliant workplace culture, and support the achievement of operational goals. This role is open to full-time (5 days) or part-time (4 days) - 12 Month fixed term contract.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Establish and maintain trusted partnerships with School and Early Learning Principals and Deputy Principals to support strategic and operational HR outcomes.
  • Deliver HR guidance across all stages of the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance, development, and offboarding.
  • Manage complex Employee Relations matters, including investigations, performance management, grievances, and disciplinary processes.
  • Ensure compliance with employment legislation, organisational policies, and industrial instruments.
  • Coach and support leaders in managing ER issues effectively, promoting consistency and fairness in decision-making.
  • Interpret and apply Enterprise Agreements, providing clear and practical advice to leaders and employees.
  • Act as a key escalation point for the HR Coordinator, offering mentorship and resolving complex queries.
  • Support the delivery of HR projects aligned with strategic priorities, such as policy development, organisational change, and process improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement initiatives that enhance employee engagement, culture, and operational effectiveness.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Proven experience as an HR Business Partner or HR advisory role, ideally within a unionised environment.
  • Advanced capability in managing complex Employee Relations matters, including investigations, performance management, dispute resolution, and grievance handling.
  • Demonstrated expertise in interpreting and applying Enterprise Agreements and navigating industrial instruments.
  • Strong working knowledge of employment legislation and contemporary HR practices
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships across diverse groups.
  • Proven ability to lead and deliver HR projects and change initiatives across multiple stakeholder groups.
  • Proficient in HR systems and data analytics - experience with SuccessFactors is desirable.
  • Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • A valid Working with Children Check.
  • Willingness to travel between campuses.
