ROLE SUMMARY:

This maternity cover position is based at the International School of Como, one of Inspired’s established International Schools in Italy. IS Como is a vibrant IB World School offering modern facilities including a central library, drama and music studios, and spacious collaborative learning areas.

Teach IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) English Language & Literature and support the IB Diploma Programme (DP) English curriculum.
Foster students’ critical thinking, communication, and literary analysis skills.
Collaborate on curriculum design and interdisciplinary projects.
Provide additional support for students whose first language is not English.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

Essential

EU citizenship or right to work in Italy
Degree in English, Literature or related field, plus a recognised teaching qualification
At least 2 years’ successful teaching experience
Knowledge or experience of IB MYP/DP English
Strong communication skills and ability to work in a multilingual environment

Preferred

Experience in international or multicultural settings
Background in teaching English as an Additional Language (EAL)
