ROLE SUMMARY:
Role Summary
Colégio Internacional de Vilamoura (CIV) is looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Specialist to join our administration team. This role is key to ensuring effective financial management and compliance across the school. The Finance Specialist will be responsible for overseeing daily financial operations, supporting budgeting and reporting processes, and ensuring that all financial practices align with both regulatory requirements and the school’s strategic objectives. Working closely with leadership, teaching staff, and external stakeholders, the role contributes directly to the efficient functioning of CIV.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily financial operations, including invoices, payments, and reconciliations.
- Support budget preparation, monitoring, and forecasting processes.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies, internal controls, and external audit requirements.
- Prepare accurate financial reports for school leadership and external authorities.
- Monitor cost control, expenses, and resource allocation to support school priorities.
- Collaborate with academic and administrative teams to ensure effective financial planning.
- Liaise with suppliers, service providers, and external auditors.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field.
- Proven experience in financial management, preferably in an educational setting.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, budgeting, and reporting.
- Excellent IT skills, with proficiency in Excel and financial software.
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and organisational ability.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to confidentiality, integrity, and teamwork.
