ROLE SUMMARY:
The British International School, founded in 1981, is a private co-educational school providing an excellent, high quality bilingual curriculum in Pre-School, Primary and Secondary, as well as an optimal learning environment. We promote innovation, creativity, international mindedness and independent critical thinking, encouraging students to explore and learn beyond the classroom. As part of our teaching team, we are looking an outstanding and dynamic coach to be in post ready for 10th November 2025.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality music lessons for early years and primary students, encouraging student creativity, self-expression, and collaboration through various techniques
- Organise and direct performances, both in-class and as part of larger school productions or events.
- Ensure the effective use of technology in teaching and learning activities.
- Ensuring that lessons are differentiated to meet the needs of individual pupils, including additional challenge and support as required.
- Promoting and managing positive behaviour in the classroom and on school premises, welfare and safety in every moment and to develop within them positive attitudes towards peers, adults, property and schoolwork.
- Behave professionally concerning punctuality, behaviour, standards of work, students’ homework and maintaining confidentiality of information
- Excellent time-management and organisational skills, including the meeting of all deadlines.
- Develop excellent working relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
- Bachelor’s degree in the field of music or related careers
- Experience directing or organising school performances or productions
- Software management (Word, Excel, Power Point, Google)
- Level B2 English Language
- 2 years of experience in related positions
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills, with the ability to create a positive learning environment.
