School Nurse

ROLE SUMMARY:

Established in 2012, King's College School, Panama, was the first British curriculum school in the country. As a diverse and inclusive international school, we educate +500 students from +40 nationalities, aged 2 to 18, who attend the Pre-Nursery division to Sixth Form.

The school nurse is responsible for providing health services to students, promoting a healthy school environment, and collaborating with school staff, teachers and, parents, to support student wellness.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Health Assessment and Care: Conduct health screenings, provide first aid, administer medications, and manage student health conditions as needed.

Emergency Response: Respond promptly to medical emergencies and accidents that occur on school grounds. Provide emergency care, coordinate with emergency services, and ensure appropriate follow-up care for students.

Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with school administrators, teachers, and support staff to promote a healthy and safe school environment.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree or equivalent qualification

Experience working with children and adolescents in a healthcare setting

Strong assessment, communication, and interpersonal skills

Ability to handle medical emergency situations in the school
