ROLE SUMMARY:

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Computer Science Teacher to join our faculty. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in computer science and a passion for inspiring students to develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills through coding and technology.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Curriculum Delivery: Plan and deliver engaging IB and IGCSE Computer Science lessons aligned with international standards.
  • Student Engagement: Foster an inclusive and stimulating classroom environment where students feel encouraged to explore technology and programming.
  • Assessment and Feedback: Design, administer, and evaluate assessments to monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Practical Application: Guide students through hands-on programming projects, algorithm design, and problem-solving tasks.
  • Differentiated Instruction: Adapt teaching methods to meet diverse learning styles and abilities.
  • Technology Integration: Incorporate emerging technologies and digital tools into the teaching process to enhance learning outcomes.
  • Extracurricular Support: Lead or participate in technology clubs, hackathons, and coding competitions.
  • Professional Development: Stay updated with trends and advancements in Computer Science and participate in ongoing professional training.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues to share resources, strategies, and best practices.
  • Parental Communication: Maintain open lines of communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Education, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Valid teaching certification/license.
  • Proven experience teaching computer science or related subjects at school level.
  • Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to engage and motivate students.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse group of students, staff, and parents.
