KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lesson Planning & Delivery: Develop and deliver engaging, hands-on lessons that align with the curriculum and inspire student interest.
- Student Assessment: Assess and evaluate student progress through formative and summative assessments.
- Classroom Management: Maintain a positive, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Curriculum Development: Contribute to curriculum planning, ensuring lessons meet academic standards and support differentiated learning.
- Practical Experiments: Facilitate safe and effective science experiments to enhance hands-on learning experiences.
- Pastoral Care: Support students’ academic and personal growth through mentorship and guidance.
- Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues in the department to share best practices and resources.
- Professional Development: Participate in ongoing professional training and school initiatives.
- Communication: Maintain open communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress and well-being.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or subject related field
- QTS with UK or International school experience
- Proven experience teaching across iGCSE and/or IB curriculum
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- An interest in Panama and LATAM countries and culture, willingness to integrate into the school and community life
