ROLE SUMMARY:

As a Business and Economics Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping the academic and professional development of students. Your responsibilities will include designing and delivering engaging lessons, fostering a positive learning environment, and preparing students for success in the fields of business and economics.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and update curriculum materials in alignment with educational standards, ensuring relevance to current business and economic trends.
  • Create innovative lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
  • Foster critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills among students.
  • Provide constructive feedback to students and parents regarding academic performance.
  • Establish a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active student participation and collaboration.
  • Implement and maintain discipline in accordance with school policies.
  • Stay abreast of developments in the fields of business and economics.
  • Attend workshops, conferences, and training sessions to enhance teaching methodologies and subject matter expertise.
  • Coordinate or participate in business-related clubs, competitions, or events to provide students with practical experiences and networking opportunities.
  • Maintain open communication with parents or guardians regarding students' progress and achievements.
  • Attend parent-teacher conferences as required.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to integrate interdisciplinary concepts into lessons.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the overall improvement of the school's academic programs.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Business, Economics, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Teaching certification or licensure.
  • Demonstrated expertise in business and economics.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Classroom management skills and the ability to create an inclusive learning environment.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development.
