Biology Teacher

We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Biology Teacher to join our academic team. The ideal candidate will inspire curiosity about the natural world through engaging and rigorous instruction. This is an exciting opportunity to shape young minds, foster scientific thinking, and cultivate a deep understanding of biological concepts in a collaborative and forward-thinking learning environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging Biology lessons that align with the school’s curriculum and educational standards.
• Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom culture that encourages scientific inquiry and critical thinking.
• Use a variety of teaching methods, including practical laboratory work, to make learning meaningful and accessible to all students.
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing regular feedback and adapting teaching strategies accordingly.
• Prepare students for internal and external assessments and examinations.
• Collaborate with colleagues across the Science department and contribute to interdisciplinary initiatives where appropriate.
• Participate actively in school life, including attending meetings, parent conferences, and school events.
• Stay current with developments in science education and integrate new approaches and technologies into the classroom.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

• A relevant university degree in Biology or a related field.
• A recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
• Experience teaching Biology at the secondary level; IB, IGCSE, or A-Level experience is a plus.
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage and motivate students.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• A commitment to ongoing professional development and collaboration with peers.
• A passion for education and a dedication to student success.
