KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
As a teacher at King's College Panama, your key responsibilities will include:
- Deliver engaging and inclusive lessons that stimulate student interest and facilitate learning
- Design and implement engaging EAL instructional programmes that meet the needs of students at various levels of english proficiency.
- Assess and evaluate student progress, providing timely feedback to support their educational journey.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and enhance curriculum content, ensuring it meets diverse learner needs.
- Engage with parents and guardians to promote a positive learning environment and foster community relationships
- Monitor and report on the progress of EAL students, setting specific targets and adapting teaching methods accordingly.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to improve teaching practices and contribute to the school's growth.
- Implement effective classroom management strategies to ensure a safe and respectful classroom atmosphere.
- Stay updated with educational trends and research to enhance the learning experience.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
The ideal candidate for this position will possess:
- A Bachelor's degree in Education or a relevant field, with a commitment to lifelong learning
- Certification in Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL), Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) or equivalent.
- Proven experience in a teaching role, demonstrating effective teaching strategies.
- Strong communication skills, with proficiency in English; additional languages are a plus.
- A passion for working with children and fostering a supportive learning environment
- Strong understanding of the challenges faced by students learning English as an addictional language.
- Team-oriented mindset with an ability to work collaboratively within a diverse team.
