Year 5 Bilingual Teacher

We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly effective year 5 Teacher to join us on a cover/temporay basis. This is an exciting opportunity to join our Primary School, delivering high-quality teaching and inspiring students in Year 5. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing engaging, well-structured lessons across the primary curriculum, fostering a love of learning and supporting students’ academic, social, and emotional development.

You will create a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and independence. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons aligned with the Year 5 curriculum, ensuring progression in students’ learning.
• Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that supports students’ academic, social, and emotional development.
• Assess, monitor, and record student progress, using data to inform planning and differentiated instruction.
• Support the development of critical thinking, independence, and a love of learning in all students.
• Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding student progress and wellbeing.
• Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to curriculum planning and whole-school initiatives.
• Contribute to the pastoral life of the school, promoting student wellbeing and positive behaviour.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

• Hold a recognised teaching qualification with experience teaching Upper Primary / Year 5 students.
• Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver engaging, well-structured lessons.
• Have a high level of English proficiency, with excellent communication skills.
• Show a commitment to student wellbeing and inclusive teaching practices.
• Be a collaborative, proactive professional, willing to contribute to the wider life of the school.
