We are seeking a passionate and well-qualified English Teacher to join our Senior School. The ideal candidate will deliver engaging, high-quality lessons that promote strong literacy, critical thinking, and a love of literature. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Deliver inspiring and interactive English lessons that support and challenge all students.
- Plan and implement high-quality schemes of work aligned with the school’s curriculum.
- Assess, track, and report on student progress, ensuring strong academic development.
- Create a supportive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment.
- Contribute to pastoral duties and the holistic well-being of students.
- Use ICT effectively to enhance teaching, learning, and assessment.
- Collaborate with colleagues across departments to promote best practice and consistency.
- Participate in co-curricular activities, clubs, and school events as part of community life.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
- A recognised teaching qualification (BEd, PGCE, or equivalent) and a degree in a relevant field.
- Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for teaching English.
- Strong classroom practice and the ability to secure good progress for all learners.
- Outstanding organisational and planning skills.
- A positive, flexible attitude and openness to innovation and development.
- Experience with IGCSE and/or IB programmes (highly desirable).
