ROLE SUMMARY:
King's College School, Cascais, part of the prestigious Inspired Education Group, is a leading international school in the Lisbon area. We offer a global education through the Cambridge International curriculum up to Year 10, complemented by a bilingual programme in Portuguese and English for students up to Year 5. We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Teacher of Drama (Primary School) to join our KS2 team from November 2025. The successful candidate will be part of the whole-college Performing Arts team, contributing to productions, performances, and creative projects across the school.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Teach Drama across the Primary School, delivering engaging and imaginative lessons that build confidence, creativity, and collaboration.

Contribute to the whole-college Performing Arts programme, supporting productions, plays, assemblies, and events.

Use drama to nurture personal expression, communication skills, and teamwork among younger learners.

Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and adapting teaching to meet individual needs.

Build strong relationships with parents and guardians through regular communication and feedback.

Work collaboratively with colleagues across year groups and departments to create enrichment opportunities.

Promote the values and ethos of King’s College, modelling professionalism, enthusiasm, and creativity.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

A degree in Drama, Performing Arts, or a related field, along with a recognised teaching qualification (QTS or equivalent).

Proven experience teaching Drama at Primary level, ideally in an international or bilingual school.

A genuine passion for Drama and the Performing Arts, with the ability to inspire and motivate young learners.

Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Flexibility, adaptability, and a collaborative approach to working as part of a Performing Arts team.

Commitment to nurturing creativity, confidence, and the holistic development of students.
