ROLE SUMMARY:

 

As the first point of contact for King’s College School, Cascais, you will play a vital role in representing the school’s values and excellence.

You will provide high-quality administrative support and ensure a welcoming, safe, and efficient environment for students, parents, staff, and visitors. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Serve as the first point of contact for students, parents, staff, and visitors, ensuring a professional and welcoming reception experience.
  • Manage the front desk, telephone switchboard, general enquiries, and incoming correspondence.
  • Maintain accurate student attendance records and support the management of daily school operations.
  • Provide administrative support to the Academic Office, including the preparation, filing, and maintenance of student records and school documentation.
  • Assist with academic administration processes, including reports, school communications, schedules, and examinations, as required.
  • Support admissions activities, school events, meetings, and other administrative initiatives.
  • Maintain visitor records, issue access badges, and contribute to safeguarding, health, and safety procedures.
  • Ensure the reception area and administrative processes operate efficiently and reflect the school's high standards of service.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

 

  • Fluency in English and Portuguese, both written and spoken.
  • Previous experience in a receptionist, administrative, school office, or customer-facing role.
  • Experience supporting academic administration, student services, or educational operations is highly desirable.
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage confidential information.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and confidence in learning new systems and databases.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a professional and service-oriented approach.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and collaborate effectively with different stakeholders.
  • Positive, proactive, and adaptable mindset, with a genuine commitment to supporting the school community.
