ROLE SUMMARY:

King's College School, Cascais, part of the prestigious Inspired Education Group, is a leading international school in the Lisbon area. We offer a global education through the Cambridge International curriculum up to Year 10, complemented by a bilingual programme in Portuguese and English for students up to Year 5. We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Primary Drama Teacher to join our team, starting in August 2025.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop and implement a dynamic drama curriculum for primary students, fostering creativity and self-expression.
Plan and deliver engaging lessons that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
Organize and direct school productions, workshops, and performances, encouraging student participation.
Collaborate with colleagues to integrate drama into the broader curriculum and support cross-curricular projects.
Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect and teamwork.
Engage with parents and the school community to showcase student achievements in drama.
Participate in professional development opportunities to stay abreast of best practices in drama education.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

A degree in Drama, Performing Arts, or a related field, along with a recognized teaching qualification.
Proven experience teaching drama at the primary level, preferably within an international or bilingual school setting.
A passion for drama and the ability to inspire young learners to explore their creative potential.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English; proficiency in Portuguese is an advantage.
Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of educators and contribute to the school's extracurricular programmes.
Commitment to fostering a supportive and nurturing learning environment.
Flexibility and adaptability to contribute to the school's dynamic and evolving culture.
