ROLE SUMMARY:
King's College School, Cascais is one of the recent additions to the Inspired Group. The College is currently open to Year 9 and will be opening Year 10 next year. Pupils primarily study the Cambridge International curriculum but will be offering IGCSEs from other examination boards as well. When Year 12 opens in September 2026, the school will be running the International Baccalaureate.
The College has fast established a reputation for excellence in Portugal and is set to become one of the most highly prized education schools not only in Portugal but beyond. Its location in one of the most prized districts in Portugal together with its unrivalled facilities and outstanding staff has led to it’s remarkable growth in its student roll to 704 students this year (a growth of 55% from the previous year).
The College will launch its new boarding provision in 2024. Facilities include provision for up to 50 pupils, all situated within the College walls on a campus above the main secondary building with stunning views of the Sintra mountains and the Atlantic coast. Boarders and boarding staff will have access to the school facilities including a 25m swimming pool, tennis and padel courts, gyms, basketball courts, dance and music facilities and 5G astroturf for multiple sports including football and rugby.
We are seeking a dynamic and passionate teacher of pre-engineering and S.T.E.A.M projects to take on the role in our Summer Camps at King’s College School, Cascais. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering the assembly of a Bufori EViE Kart and S.T.E.A.M projects aimed at students aged 9 and above. The programme will run for 4 weeks, so 2 *2-week rotations would be expected.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Curriculum Delivery and Creation:
- Deliver engaging lessons and hands-on activities
- Develop and adapt content to suit the diverse needs and interests of the students.
2. Program Planning:
- Collaborate with the program coordinator to organize and structure the two-week summer camp schedule at each location.
- Create clear learning outcomes to be shared with parents.
3. EViE and S.T.E.A.M:
- Facilitate the assembly of the EViE.
- Develop activities S.T.E.A.M project Kits
4. Skill Differentiation:
- Implement strategies to differentiate learning outcomes, catering to the varying levels of skill and experience among the students.
- Adapt teaching methods to ensure individualized progress and skill development.
5. Student Engagement:
- Cultivate a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes active participation, collaboration, and critical thinking.
- Support evening activities, fostering social interaction and communication skills.
6. Evaluation and Feedback:
- Implement assessment strategies to measure student progress in technological design abilities.
- Offer constructive feedback and guidance, promoting continuous improvement.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
- A degree in engineering, computer science or new technologies
- Strong background in engineering and S.T.E.A.M
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Previous experience in curriculum delivery is advantageous.
- Must be 19 years of age or older.
- English native speaker level (Advanced or Proficiency (C1-C2) (Required)

Contract:
- Period: from Wednesday 2nd July to Saturday 2nd August 2025.
- Training days: 3rd,4th, 5th of July
- Summer Camp: Session 1: 6thJuly - 19th July 2025
- Summer Camp: Session 2: 20th July – 2nd August 2025
- Salary: Euros 1800 gross for the whole period.
- Included: accommodation, meals, accident insurance
- Day Off: 3 mornings a week, Saturday afternoon and Sunday
- Expected to work a few duties throughout the week, including supporting evening activities and excursions on Wednesday
