ROLE SUMMARY:
King's College School, Cascais is one of the recent additions to the Inspired Group. The College is currently open to Year 9 and will be opening Year 10 next year. Pupils primarily study the Cambridge International curriculum but will be offering IGCSEs from other examination boards as well. When Year 12 opens in September 2026, the school will be running the International Baccalaureate.
The College has fast established a reputation for excellence in Portugal and is set to become one of the most highly prized education schools not only in Portugal but beyond. Its location in one of the most prized districts in Portugal together with its unrivalled facilities and outstanding staff has led to it’s remarkable growth in its student roll to 704 students this year (a growth of 55% from the previous year).
The College will launch its new boarding provision in 2024. Facilities include provision for up to 50 pupils, all situated within the College walls on a campus above the main secondary building with stunning views of the Sintra mountains and the Atlantic coast. Boarders and boarding staff will have access to the school facilities including a 25m swimming pool, tennis and padel courts, gyms, basketball courts, dance and music facilities and 5G astroturf for multiple sports including football and rugby.
To join our team, We are seeking a dedicated and organized Camp Liaison to manage the administrative aspects for King’s College School, Cascais and St. Peters International School, Palmela. This role is crucial in ensuring smooth communication between the camp, parents, and school administration. The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal skills, a strong attention to detail, and a passion for creating a positive camp experience for students and their families.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Communication with Parents: Serve as the primary point of contact for parents regarding camp information, schedules, and any concerns. Provide timely updates and respond to inquiries with professionalism and empathy.
- Administrative Coordination: Oversee the logistical elements of camp bookings, which include managing registration processes, reviewing payments, selecting appropriate activities, and maintaining precise records of participants.
- Collaboration with Staff: Work closely with camp leaders and school administration to ensure all camp bookings are reported correctly and records are updated weekly.
- Event Planning: Assist in organizing the preparations for the camps. Parents must receive all necessary information prior to arrival, as well as scheduling webinars for parents to provide key information and details from the handbook.
- Feedback Collection: Collect feedback from parents and campers before, during, and after the camp to evaluate satisfaction and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Problem-Solving: Address any issues that arise during the camp booking process, including those related to logistics, parent concerns, or camper needs, while ensuring a positive resolution.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with parents, students, and staff.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Previous experience in a camp setting or educational environment is preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented atmosphere.
- Proficiency in using administrative software and tools for record-keeping and communication.
