ROLE SUMMARY:
King's College School, Cascais, part of the prestigious Inspired Education Group, is a leading international school in the Lisbon area. We offer a global education through the Cambridge International curriculum up to Year 10, complemented by a bilingual programme in Portuguese and English for students up to Year 5. Our commitment to academic excellence and holistic development prepares students for success in top universities worldwide. We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Early Years English Teacher to join our team, starting in August 2025.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Teach and support early years students (ages 3-5), following the British Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
- Plan and deliver engaging, play-based lessons that stimulate early cognitive, social, and physical development.
- Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment where young children feel supported and encouraged.
- Use creative and interactive teaching methods, including play, stories, songs, and hands-on activities to promote learning.
- Foster the development of essential skills such as communication, problem-solving, and social interaction.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing individualised feedback to support each child’s growth.
- Communicate regularly with parents about their child’s development and provide advice on supporting learning at home.
- Collaborate with colleagues on developing cross-curricular activities that integrate learning through play.
- Participate in school events and extra-curricular programs, helping to build a sense of community among students and families.
- Ensure that teaching aligns with the values of King’s College, promoting a love of learning and encouraging positive relationships.
