We are looking for a Primary School Computing Teacher to join our team in August 2025. This is an exciting opportunity for an innovative educator to introduce young learners to the world of technology, coding, and digital literacy. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Teach Computing to primary school students, introducing key concepts such as coding, digital literacy, and online safety.
  • Plan and deliver interactive lessons that develop students’ skills in technology, coding, and computational thinking.
  • Encourage the use of problem-solving and critical thinking skills through coding projects, robotics, and other digital tools.
  • Foster digital literacy by teaching students how to responsibly use technology, including safe internet practices and cybersecurity awareness.
  • Integrate hands-on learning and technology-based projects that encourage creativity and innovation.
  • Regularly assess student progress and provide feedback, adapting teaching methods to support individual learning needs.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and integrate relevant digital tools into the classroom to enhance the learning experience.
  • Collaborate with other teachers to develop interdisciplinary projects that incorporate computing into other areas of the curriculum.
  • Participate in the school’s extra-curricular programs, such as coding clubs, robotics teams, or digital competitions.
  • Communicate regularly with parents about student progress and ways to support learning at home.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

 

  • A degree in Computing, Information Technology, or a related field, with a recognised teaching qualification.
  • 3-5 years of teaching experience, ideally in an international or British school, with a focus on primary computing education.
  • Experience teaching key computing concepts such as coding, programming languages (Scratch, Python, etc.), digital literacy, and online safety.
  • A passion for technology and its role in education, with the ability to engage young learners and develop their digital skills.
  • Proficiency in educational technology, including coding platforms, robotics kits, and digital learning tools.
  • Excellent communication skills, with fluency in English.
  • A collaborative mindset, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues on cross-curricular projects.
  • Creativity and flexibility to create engaging, interactive lessons that foster problem-solving and innovation.
  • A commitment to professional development and staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in technology and computing education.
  • A willingness to participate in extra-curricular activities and contribute to the school’s technology programs.
