ROLE SUMMARY:

We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Grade 2 Teacher to join our Preparatory team from January 2026.
The successful candidate will foster a positive learning environment that nurtures curiosity, independence, and academic achievement while promoting each child’s social and emotional well-being.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the curriculum.
• Create a nurturing classroom environment that encourages participation and curiosity.
• Support the individual needs of learners to ensure academic and emotional growth.
• Assess, record, and report on student progress through formal and informal methods.
• Provide constructive feedback to students and parents in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and share effective teaching strategies.
• Participate in school events, assemblies, and parent meetings as required.
• Contribute to co-curricular and enrichment activities within the Preparatory phase.
• Uphold the ethos and values of Reddam House and the Inspired Education Group.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

• A recognised teaching qualification and SACE registration.
• A degree in Education or relevant field.
• Demonstrated experience teaching in the Preparatory phase (Grade 2 or similar).
• Strong knowledge of child-centred learning approaches.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A reflective and growth-oriented approach to teaching practice.
• A genuine passion for education and student development.
• The legal right to work in South Africa.
