ROLE SUMMARY:
We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Grade 2 Teacher to join our Preparatory team from January 2026.
The successful candidate will foster a positive learning environment that nurtures curiosity, independence, and academic achievement while promoting each child’s social and emotional well-being.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the curriculum.
- Create a nurturing classroom environment that encourages participation and curiosity.
- Support the individual needs of learners to ensure academic and emotional growth.
- Assess, record, and report on student progress through formal and informal methods.
- Provide constructive feedback to students and parents in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and share effective teaching strategies.
- Participate in school events, assemblies, and parent meetings as required.
- Contribute to co-curricular and enrichment activities within the Preparatory phase.
- Uphold the ethos and values of Reddam House and the Inspired Education Group.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
- A recognised teaching qualification and SACE registration.
- A degree in Education or relevant field.
- Demonstrated experience teaching in the Preparatory phase (Grade 2 or similar).
- Strong knowledge of child-centred learning approaches.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A reflective and growth-oriented approach to teaching practice.
- A genuine passion for education and student development.
- The legal right to work in South Africa.
