ROLE SUMMARY:

King’s School The Crown is built in extensive grounds offering world-class educational and sporting facilities, enabling students to pursue a diverse range of interests. Our purpose-Built Campus of over 40,000m2 located in the heart of Cairo's most prestigious gated community, The Crown, 6th October city. This school is the first in the region to cater to students from 3 months up to 18 years with state-of-the-art facilities, including: a full football field, 400m athletic track , 25m 8 lane covered swimming pool with learner pool, indoor multi-purpose sports hall, outdoor multipurpose courts and a 522 seat Performing Arts theatre.

King’s School The Crown is delighted to be a part of the British Council schools partnership, working with Cambridge to deliver the UK national curriculum through to IGCSE. The process involved multiple inspections to ensure our new school met the highest standards, from the Egyptian Ministry of Education, Cambridge and the British Council. King’s School passed with flying colours! 

Reporting into the Head of Pre-Prep, we are seeking an outstanding, committed, and energetic EL2 Teaching Assistant to join King’s School The Crown. The successful candidate will have a genuine passion for working with young children and be dedicated to creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that promotes curiosity, independence, and a love of learning. The role requires a strong team player who is eager to contribute to the culture of excellence across the Pre-Prep.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist children with early learning through play-based activities, helping them build independence, social skills, and positive behaviour.
• Support the class teacher in delivering lessons, preparing resources, and adapting activities to meet children’s needs.
• Supervise children during class, play, snack, lunch, and transitions, ensuring safety and wellbeing at all times.
• Help set up and maintain a stimulating and safe learning environment, including displays of children’s work.
• Communicate respectfully with parents (through the teacher), follow safeguarding policies, and cover duties as assigned
• Support personal care routines and ensure children’s safety and wellbeing.
• Take part in training to improve skills and apply learning to support pupils effectively.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

• Bachelor’s degree or relevant higher-level qualification or vocational training which can be practically applied to supporting pupil development.
• Minimum 3 years’ teaching and learning support experience in Education sector.
• Clear and effective communications skills, both verbal and written, with a confident and positive manner.
• A demonstrable passion for the profession.
• Confident, presentable, articulate and dynamic personality.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
• A positive attitude to change
• A continuous improvement mindset.
