ROLE SUMMARY:
King’s School The Crown is built in extensive grounds offering world-class educational and sporting facilities, enabling students to pursue a diverse range of interests. Our purpose-Built Campus of over 40,000m2 located in the heart of Cairo's most prestigious gated community, The Crown, 6th October city. This school is the first in the region to cater to students from 3 months up to 18 years with state-of-the-art facilities, including: a full football field, 400m athletic track , 25m 8 lane covered swimming pool with learner pool, indoor multi-purpose sports hall, outdoor multipurpose courts and a 522 seat Performing Arts theatre.

The process involved multiple inspections to ensure our new school met the highest standards, from the Egyptian Ministry of Education, Cambridge and the British Council. We are seeking an outstanding, committed and energetic School Counsellor to join King’s School The Crown to start in August 2025.
The School Counsellor will be responsible for supporting the emotional, social, and academic development of students within the school community. Provide confidential counselling services to help students navigate personal challenges, foster academic success, and promote mental health awareness. The counsellor works closely with students, teachers, and parents to create a positive learning environment, offering individual and group counselling sessions, and implementing programs that address students' well-being. Additionally, the counsellor plays a key role in crisis intervention and in developing strategies to improve overall student performance, resilience, and personal growth.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide counselling and support for students, parents, and staff to promote overall well-being.
- Collaborate with learning support and pastoral teams to maintain a ‘whole child’ approach.
- Keep relevant staff informed about student concerns and wellbeing matters.
- Deliver training and development sessions for staff on student wellbeing.
- Develop and implement a strategic plan for student support services in line with school policies.
- Liaise with parents, staff, external agencies, and other schools to ensure coordinated support.
- Maintain confidential records, adhere to safeguarding policies, and report concerns as necessary.
- Attend meetings and communicate effectively with school leadership, staff, and parents.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and safeguarding measures, staying up to date with training.
- Contribute to school improvement initiatives and foster a professional, collaborative working environment.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
- Hold a relevant counselling qualification for both Primary and Secondary students.
- Have experience in a counselling role within a premium international school.
