Head of Admissions

ROLE SUMMARY:

The Head of Admissions reports to the Regional Head of Enrolments and Business Development - MENA and the Executive Head. Admissions Officers and Receptionists report to the Head of Admissions.

The Head of Admissions will lead the admissions function and play a key role in driving student enrolment and supporting the school's growth objectives. The role will develop and implement admissions and business development strategies to maximise student attraction, conversion, recruitment and retention.

Working closely with the Executive Head, Senior Leadership Team, Marketing, Academic and Operations teams, the Head of Admissions will ensure a professional and consistent experience for prospective families throughout the admissions journey, from initial enquiry to enrolment. The role will also support the school's market positioning and identify opportunities for sustainable enrolment growth.

King's School The Crown is a premium British international school located in Crown Palm Hills, 6th October City, Cairo. The purpose-built campus covers more than 40,000 square metres and provides high-quality educational, sporting and performing arts facilities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Set individual and departmental targets in line with the school budget and lead the team to achieve enrolment, growth, conversion and retention objectives.
• Develop and monitor admissions and retention strategies and work with the Senior Leadership Team to forecast enrolments and support school planning.
• Monitor the admissions pipeline and provide regular reports on enquiries, conversions, enrolments, withdrawals and retention.
• Oversee the full admissions process, ensuring enquiries, applications, assessments and enrolments are handled efficiently and professionally.
• Ensure prospective and existing families receive a high quality experience throughout the admissions journey, including the arrival and orientation of new students and families.
• Work with Heads of School and Heads of Year to support student transition and retention.
• Work with Marketing to support lead generation and develop relationships with feeder schools, relocation agents, corporate partners and other relevant organisations.
• Plan and coordinate Open Days, Parent Information Events, school tours and other admissions activities.
• Maintain accurate student and admissions records and ensure all enrolments comply with Egyptian Ministry of Education requirements and school policies.
• Work closely with Finance to ensure student contracts and related documentation are accurate and issued promptly.
• Supervise the front of house function and continuously improve admissions processes, service standards and the family experience.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

Qualifications and Experience 

• Sales management experience within professional services setting.
• Track record of exceeding sales targets.
• IT skills with knowledge of relevant software applications including MS Outlook, Excel, Power Point and database skills are essential. 
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders and cross-continent teams. 
• Good literacy skills to prepare correspondence and maintain records to a high standard. 
• Experience working with the education sector is desirable but not essential.
