ROLE SUMMARY:

 

 

The Executive Assistant to the Executive Head provides high-level administrative support to the Executive Head, ensuring the efficient running of his office and effective management of his schedule. This role involves handling confidential matters, coordinating meetings, managing correspondence, preparing reports, and overseeing day-to-day tasks that enable the Executive Head to focus on strategic and leadership responsibilities. The Executive Assistant will also act as a liaison between the Executive Head and other senior leaders, staff, and external stakeholders.

The process involved multiple inspections to ensure our new school met the highest standards, from the Egyptian Ministry of Education, Cambridge and the British Council. King’s School passed with flying colours! 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Ensure that all work is reflective of the standards expressed in the school vision.
  • Be responsible and accountable to achieve the highest possible standards of work and conduct.
  • Work collaboratively with members of your team to ensure consistency of practice in line with school policy and procedures.
  • Treat pupils with dignity, building relationships rooted in mutual respect, and at all times observing proper boundaries.
  • Work proactively and effectively in collaboration and partnership with learners, parents/carers, governors, other staff and external agencies in the best interests of pupils.
  • Act in accordance with the professional duties and responsibilities outlined in the contract, staff handbook, job description.
  • Take a shared responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of all pupils, having read the Safeguarding policy and all related policies, and attend mandatory Safeguarding and Child Protection training.
  • Read and follow the Safeguarding Policy and all related policies and remain up to date with safeguarding training as directed by the Seniors DSL.
  • Refer any safeguarding concern to the DSL or Deputy DSL as soon as possible.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field, such as (Business Administration, Education, Management Communications, or Public Relations Office Management)
  • Additional Qualifications (optional but beneficial):
  • Diploma or Certification in Executive Assistant, Office Management, or a similar field.
  • Courses or training in international education, school administration, or cross-cultural communication (ideal for an international school setting).
  • Previous experience in administrative or executive assistant roles, particularly in educational or international settings, is preferred.
  • Fluency in English (spoken and written) is typically required, especially for international school environments.
  • An understanding of the UK educational system.
  • Sufficient numeracy to deal with statistical data.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and database management.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
